Membership runs from January to December.

Adult riders (18 or over on 1st January 2018):
If you wish to compete at Dressage Ireland competitions, be eligible to qualify for Winter Finals and National Championships and/or partake in training you must choose the Full Riding Member option and register your horse/pony.
If you wish to be a registered judge or trainee judge you must be a Member. Judges who also wish to ride at Dressage Ireland competitions should choose the Full Riding Member option.
Junior Members (under 18 on the 1st January 2018)
It is a prerequisite of a Junior Membership that their parent or legal guardian is a member.
If a junior member wishes to compete at Dressage Ireland competitions, be eligible to qualify for Winter Finals and National Championships their horse/pony must also be registered.
Horses/ponies for Junior Riders need to be registered by an Adult (18 or over) Member.
**First year registration of a pure bred Irish Draught, Connemara Pony, Irish Thoroughbred or Kerry Bog Pony is free of charge.
To avail of the free first year registration for an Irish Draught, Connemara Pony, Irish Thoroughbred or Kerry Bog Pony please complete the Horse Registration Form and post it to the office with a copy of the passport or alternatively email the completed form alaong with a good quality scanned copy of the passport to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Manual of the “Code Of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport” is a major publication recognising the commitment to ensure that young people are safeguarded in their participation in sport on the island of Ireland.
All Members must declare their region on their membership form. If no region is declared for, the office will decide the region going by the address of the Member.
No person may change regions within the year of membership, running from January till December.
